Deep fried chicken drumstick
By Foodefare
Ingredients:
- Chicken drumsticks
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- All-purpose flour (for dredging)
- Eggs (beaten)
- Breadcrumbs or seasoned flour (optional)
- Cooking oil (vegetable oil or canola oil)
Instructions:
- Season the chicken drumsticks with salt and pepper, or your preferred seasonings.
- Set up a dredging station with three shallow bowls: one with all-purpose flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs or seasoned flour (if using).
- Dredge each chicken drumstick in the flour, shaking off any excess, then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
- If desired, coat the drumsticks in breadcrumbs or seasoned flour for extra crispiness.
- Heat a deep fryer or a large pot filled with oil to 350-375°F (175-190°C).
- Carefully lower the breaded chicken drumsticks into the hot oil, working in batches to avoid overcrowding the fryer.
- Fry the drumsticks for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon or tongs to turn them occasionally for even cooking.
- Once the drumsticks are cooked, transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
- Serve the deep-fried chicken drumsticks hot with your favorite dipping sauce or side dishes.
