Wonton soup

Ingredients:
For Won tons:
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/2 pound peeled and deveined shrimp, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 egg
- Won ton wrappers
For Soup:
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and white pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Prepare Won ton Filling:
- In a bowl, combine ground pork, chopped shrimp, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and the egg. Mix until well combined.
Assemble Won tons:
- Lay out a won ton wrapper, place a small amount of filling in the center.
- Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it into a triangle or your desired shape. Press the edges to seal.
Cook Won tons:
- Bring a pot of water to a boil.
- Drop the won tons into the boiling water and cook until they float to the surface, about 3-5 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon.
Prepare Soup:
- In a separate pot, heat chicken broth over medium heat.
- Add sliced green onions, sesame oil, salt, and white pepper to the broth. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Serve:
- Place a few cooked won tons in each serving bowl.
- Ladle hot soup over the won tons.
Garnish and Enjoy:
- Garnish the soup with additional sliced green onions if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy your homemade won ton soup.
